Find the solar system your home or business may need.
Tell us what you want to power. KsT will estimate your daily energy use, peak load, inverter, battery and solar-panel requirements — then you can request a detailed engineering design.
Build your preliminary system
1. Property & design conditions
These values influence the calculation. If you are unsure, keep the Ghana-focused defaults.
2. Your appliances & loads
Enter realistic running hours. Use the surge multiplier for motors/compressors where applicable.
| Appliance | Qty | Watts each | Hours/day | Surge × | Backup? |
|---|
3. System preferences
These settings help us turn your load profile into a preliminary system recommendation.

Design checks
What the calculator does — and doesn't — do
Why is my final system different?
Automated sizing uses your declared loads and assumptions. Final design may change after checking actual appliance ratings, motor starting currents, site solar resource, temperature, roof space, cable distances, inverter limits and battery specifications.
Why does backup sizing use different energy?
Backup systems should normally prioritize essential loads. Mark only the appliances you expect to keep running during an outage; the calculator sizes backup energy from those loads.
Can I use the result to buy equipment?
Use it as a planning estimate. Do not purchase equipment solely from an automated result. Ask KsT to verify the configuration, protections, string voltage/current and battery compatibility.
Does this calculate my exact ECG bill?
No. Electricity tariffs can change and actual bills can include charges beyond a simple energy calculation. For tariff information, refer to PURC's current tariff publications.
